Buffalo, where's the love? Queen City, Nickel City, City of Good Neighbors -- the fact of the matter is, we have a lot to offer, and it's your turn to show your fellow Buffalonians just how much you love Buffalo. Send your concept videos to Artvoice, and the best videos will be produced with professional audio/video equipment by the Artvoice Web Team, with you in the director's chair! Your video can be about anything you love about Buffalo and the surrounding area. Because you know what? Buffalo, we love you.
The Contest
Create a two minute (or shorter) video about Buffalo. It can be about anything -- your favorite hang out, your favorite people, or perhaps Buffalo's architecture really catches your eye. There are no restrictions on the type of video you may create -- narrative, music video, storyline, documentary, anything at all. Upload your video to youtube.com and let us know about it at artvoice.com/videocontest.
The Rules
1. Your video must be about Buffalo and/or the surrounding area.
2. Be tasteful and appropriate. Use common sense.
3. Your video should be under or two minutes.
4. Plagiarism will disqualify you.
5. You must be at least 13 years of age to enter this contest. If you are under 18 years of age, please ask your parents before participating.
6. Do not post your video anywhere outside of YouTube before the contest is over.
7. Video submissions are due by 12pm on August 23rd.
8. Upload your video to YouTube and register below.
Judging
Shortly after August 23rd, 2009, all appropriate submitted entries will be judged by the Artvoice Web Team. They will be graded out of 20 points, with five points belonging to each of the following categories: Creativity, Originality, Technical Skill, and how well your message is conveyed. The top scorers will be posted on the artvoice.com website for public voting from 12pm on August 24 until 12pm on August 31. On September 1st, winners will be announced.
Prizes
1st place: You will get to direct the Artvoice web team video crew, using professional HD cameras and audio equipment. Your two-minute video will be made into a full five-minute video and posted on the artvoice.com website. You will also receive an artvoice.com promo package.
2nd and 3rd place: You will receive an artvoice.com promo package.
Submit Your Video
Upload your video to YouTube and fill out the registration form below. Please be sure to give us the correct information to find your video. Please copy & paste the URL for your video (not the embed code!) Once your video has been uploaded to YouTube, you'll find the URL towards the upper right of the page, under your video's description.
